Financial Policy

Texas Neuro-Spine Surgery requires payment in full for any amounts that are the patient’s responsibility at the time services are rendered. This includes co-pays, co-insurance, and/or deductible amounts. Once your claim is processed by your insurance company, any additional amounts owed will be billed to you. If the patient’s estimated amount due results in an overpaid claim, then a refund will be processed once all claims are settled and there are no additional amounts owed by the patient.

You are responsible for knowing the specific rules of your insurance carrier. If your insurance carrier requires a referral, it is your responsibility to work with your primary care physician to obtain this referral prior to your scheduled appointment. If we do not have your referral number the day prior to your appointment, then you will be contacted to reschedule your appointment. If you are seen by one of our physicians without a valid referral, then all charges will be the responsibility of the patient.

Texas Neuro-Spine Surgery does not accept Letters of Protection and we do not file claims with automotive insurance companies.

Failure to provide your current insurance information prior to services being rendered may result in denial of your claim.  We assist our patient’s in receiving reimbursement from your insurance company, however, please understand that you, the patient, have the final responsibility for your bill.

Billing

We appreciate your payment at time of service. If you are scheduled for surgery, someone from our office will contact you regarding the collection of co-pays, deductibles, and/or other payment arrangements. It is critical that we have the correct information from you regarding your plan and coverage. Your cooperation in providing complete insurance information will help ensure the claim is paid quickly.

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the correct details and terms of your insurance coverage. Please remember that no matter what type of insurance coverage you have, you are ultimately responsible for your payment. We accept a personal check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.

If you need to arrange a payment plan, please call us at (214) 823-2052 (option 3), and ask to speak to our Patient Coordinator.
