Many things are possible in spine surgery but only a few things are most appropriate for you and your individual symptoms. That is why I always take time with each individual patient to discuss various surgical options for their neck pain such as anterior fusion vs. total disc replacement vs. posterior minimally invasive surgery. In many patients, no surgery at all and conservative treatment such as the right type of physical therapy is the best answer.
